Advent Exercises 2023
This set of exercises will walk you and your household through the season of Advent. Together, you will have the opportunity to anticipate the coming of Christ, both as a babe in the manger and his eventual return as a conquering king. This first season in the church year uniquely shapes our imagination to look backwards and forwards, while becoming people of the days in between.
Each exercise includes Scripture, a reading, hymn selections, artwork for reflection, and prayers. The exercises are intended as a weekly practice. Households with younger children may want to parse out the devotions and stretch the material over multiple days. While intended for community reflection, you may also do this individually.
Please note that this is a DIGITAL download, and no hard copy will be mailed to you. It is recommended you print the guide and purchase four candles (three purple and one pink) to light the night of the growing dark as we together anticipate the coming Light of the World.
